Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
We respect your privacy at InstantIndexer. On this page you will find what we collect about you, why we collect it, and the choices that are yours to make.
The information we hold
Account details
To open an account we ask for your name, an email address and a password. The password is stored as a hash, never as plain text. If you use a social sign-in, the provider sends us the name and email address on that account.
Payment details
Our payment partners (Stripe, Razorpay and Cryptomus) handle every part of a payment. Your card number, your bank account details and any other sensitive payment information never touch our servers. All we receive is confirmation that the transaction went through and how much was paid.
URLs you submit
We keep the URLs you submit for indexing. We need them to process your request, and they make up the submission history you see in your account. We do not open the pages at those URLs or keep their content.
Usage data
Like most websites, ours writes server logs containing IP addresses, browser types, the pages requested and timestamps. These logs help us keep the service secure and improve its speed.
We also measure how people use the site and the product with Google Analytics and PostHog. That covers which pages get viewed and what gets clicked, a rough location based on the IP address, the device and browser type, and whether a visit led to someone signing up or buying. PostHog may record how a page is used in the course of a visit as well. Whatever you type into a form is never included in a recording.
How you found us
When you first arrive, we make a note of the campaign tags in the link you clicked (such as utm_source), the website you came from and the page you landed on. If you later create an account we save these with it. That way we learn which channels people find us through.
Why we use it
- So that we can provide InstantIndexer, keep it running and maintain it.
- So that we can process the URLs you submit and manage your credits.
- So that we can take your payments and send you receipts.
- So that we can tell you about important service changes and security issues, and answer you when you contact support.
- So that we can detect fraud, abuse and security incidents, and prevent them.
- So that we can do what the law requires of us.
We never sell or rent your personal information, and we never share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
When we share it
There are only three situations in which we share data:
- To take payments. Stripe, Razorpay and Cryptomus receive the information required to process a payment. Their own privacy policies apply to it.
- To measure usage. Google Analytics and PostHog receive the usage data set out above, and their own privacy policies apply to it. Google Analytics does not get your name, your email address or your password from us. PostHog does get the name and email address of your account once you have signed in: this shows us how the product is being used and lets us help when you ask for support. It is never given your password.
- To obey the law. We may have to disclose information because a law, a regulation or a valid legal process demands it.
Keeping it safe
We protect your information with industry-standard safeguards, among them TLS/SSL encryption of connections, hashing of passwords and a secure server setup. We take reasonable precautions, yet no transmission or storage method can be called 100% secure.
How long we keep it
Your account data stays with us while your account is active, and we retain your submission history so that you can keep consulting your records. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your personal data within 30 days. The only exceptions are data the law obliges us to retain and data needed for a legitimate business purpose, for example fraud prevention.
Cookies
Only a handful of cookies are used on this site:
- Essential cookies. They keep you logged in and keep your session protected.
- A first-visit cookie. It stores how you found us, meaning the campaign tags in the link you followed, the site that sent you and the first page you saw, and it expires after 90 days.
- Analytics cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies whose names start with
_ga, and PostHog sets cookies whose names start withph_. With them we can count visits and see how the site gets used. Their maximum lifetime is two years.
The first time you visit, a small notice asks you about the first-visit cookie and the analytics cookies. If you do not choose within a few seconds, we treat that as a yes. You are free to change your mind later: use the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of any public page. Declining removes both and stops them being set again. It also means that your visit is not connected to a first-visit source, that Google Analytics receives nothing but cookieless signals with your address left out, and that nothing is sent to PostHog.
There are no advertising cookies on this site. You can use your browser settings to block cookies or delete them, and the site will carry on working, but without the essential cookies you cannot stay signed in. To opt out of Google Analytics on every website, Google offers a browser add-on.
Your rights
Where you live, the law may entitle you to:
- Get a copy of the personal data we hold on you.
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your personal data.
- Take your data with you in a portable format.
- Withdraw your consent, for any processing that depends on it.
Email [email protected] to exercise any of them.
Under-18s
InstantIndexer is intended for adults only, not for anyone younger than 18. We do not knowingly gather personal information from children, and if we find that we hold a child’s data we will take prompt steps to delete it.
Updates to this policy
We may change this policy occasionally. If a change is material, we will let registered users know by email or with an in-app notice. You can always check the “Last updated” date at the top of the page to see when it was last revised.
